Our Policies

Check-In:
A secure lock box is located next to each private entry.
Guests will receive a secure access code in their reservation confirmation.
Guests are welcome to self check-in to their reserved suite anytime after 3 pm.

Guests are not permitted to check in after 9 pm without prior approval.

No early check-ins PLEASE.

Check-Out: 11:00 AM.

The Sierra Mountain Lodge is family owned and operated.
Your innkeepers are John, Brenda & Stephanie.
Innkeepers are available 8 am - 8 pm daily for guests needs,
24 hours for emergencies.

Please note our policies, as they are vital to our Inn's management.

Each Suite comes complete with all necessary linens, towels & bedding.
Each Suite includes a private couch, TV with Cable/ DVD/ VCR, refrigerator,
microwave, kitchen sink, coffee maker & supplies, small dining table, dishes, glasses,
silverware, wine opener, hairdryer, lotion, body wash & alarm clock.
Guest Suites do not have stove/oven cooking facilities.

We offer twin or queen Euro Airbeds if additional beds are needed.
We charge $20 for twin & $30 for queen. This is a one time fee for the set up of bed with all necessary linens. There is no per day rental fee. We have limited amounts and they are available on a first come basic. If you would like to request a Airbed please do so at the time of booking.

Automatic daily maid service is not included.
If you are staying with us more than one night
and require us to refresh your suite please let us know.
Refreshing includes: Trash removal, fresh towels and supplies.
Refreshing is always available upon request.
It is our goal to allow our guests the privacy they desire and
we will not enter your suite unless requested.

Full daily maid service is available
at an additional $20.00 per night/$30 for entire Cabin House and
must be requested at the time the reservation is made so it can be scheduled.

The lobby is open from 8 am to dusk daily for guest enjoyment.
Lobby offers complimentary WiFi, a kettle for tea,
DVD movie collection and reading library.

Each suite has propane and electric wall heaters (for heat)
and an evaporative window cooler (for cooling).

We are unable to provide for pets
and have a strict non-smoking indoor policy.

An outdoor smoking area is provided for our guests who smoke.
ANY guest who smokes or allows pets indoors
will be charged a minimum $100.00 cleaning fee.

Candles are not permitted due to insurance and fire hazard.
Firearms are not permitted on the grounds or in the Lodging Suites.

Deposits & Charges

Reservations are guaranteed at the time of booking with a Visa or MasterCard.

First night stay is charged in full at time of booking and is refundable according to our cancellation policy.

Guests may settle their balance due during their stay with Visa, MasterCard, travelers checks, gift certificates or USD (cash).

Personal check in the full amount can be used to secure your reservation but must be
received within seven days after making the reservation.

Guests who do not settle their accounts before they check out will have the amount due charged to the credit card on file. Guest agrees that in case of a declined credit card guest is responsible to provide a valid card upon request to settle charges due. Guest agrees that a cleaning fee of a minimum $100 will be charged to the card on file if guest Smokes or allows others to Smoke inside the building, this includes Vaping.  Guest agrees that a cleaning fee of a minimum $100 will be charged  to the card on file for any pets permitted inside the building. This excludes service animals. Guest is responsible for any and all damage that occurs to their suite during their stay. Any items lost, stolen or broken will be charged to the card on file at a fair market replacement cost.

Cancellation Policy

Season

If it is necessary to cancel a reservation, there will be a $25.00
cancellation fee if the reservation is cancelled more than 14 days
before the scheduled arrival date.

If a reservation is cancelled less than 14 days before the scheduled arrival time, the innkeepers will diligently try to re-rent out the suite.

If we are successful in re-renting out the suite for the original booking dates, the canceling guest will only be charged one night's base rent as a cancellation charge.

If the innkeepers are unable to re-rent out the cancelled suite, the canceling guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved, regardless of guests' actual arrival or departure date. A gift certificate to the Sierra Mountain Lodge will be sent to the canceling guests for the amount charged minus the first night's rent and a $25.00 per additional night cancellation fee.

Off-Season

The same cancellation policy above applies but with a 48 hours cancellation period. This is due to the ever changing winter weather in the Sierra’s.
