Local Attractions

Stay outside the park and enjoy all the amazing amenities our local area has to offer.
Why stay outside of Yosemite?

The are two main reason guests choose to stay outside of the park.

One, the price, lodging inside the park is limited and expensive.
Making it hard to find just the right place to rest your head. The second reason, is if you staying inside the park, you will miss out on all the amazing local attractions outside the park.

Here are some host suggestions to make the most out of your time in the Sierra’s

Your Days inside of Yosemite National Park

We advise our guests to split the park up into two sides,
entering Hwy 41 through Oakhurst, one day and visiting all the south side has to offer, these highlights include the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia’s, Wawona & all the amazing hikes & vista’s along the Glacier Point road.

On a second day enter the park through Mariposa and the Arch Rock Entrance
(Highway 140) this is the best entrance & to use to head directly
into Yosemite valley.  This is also the best route if you’re traveling through the park to visit
Toulumne Meadows, Hetch Hetchy or the Merced Grove of Giant Sequoia’s.

Or if you only have one day to see the park we recommend going
in one entrance and out the other. Its a big loop through the park and the best way to see
many of the park highlights.

The park never closes, consider less popular times, like getting up early or staying out late.
Early morning & dusk is the best time to see wildlife.
