🗺️ Historic Mariposa & Direct Yosemite Valley Access
    • The Historic Gold Town of Mariposa: Located 20 miles north along Highway 49. As the first historic gold rush town at the southern end of the highway, its main street offers a step back in time with unique local shops, antiques, wine tasting rooms, and a local tavern.
    • Fastest Route to Yosemite Valley: Drivers will pass straight through downtown Mariposa en route to Yosemite Valley, Hetch Hetchy, and Tuolumne Meadows via the Highway 140 Arch Rock / El Portal entrance.
    • Local Summer Events: Founded in 1849, this active community hosts popular live concerts in the park most weekends throughout the summer season, alongside the annual Mariposa County Fair and demolition derby.

    • Sportsmen’s Cafe: Located in the Bootjack area on the right side of Hwy 49 (by the gas station). Excellent choice for hearty breakfasts halfway between our location and Mariposa.
    • High Country Health Food Store: A certified local favorite. Great stop for healthy breakfast options, lunch, and picking up grocery essentials.
    • Pizza Factory: Reliable order-at-the-counter chain serving up a large variety of specialty pies and classic Italian basics.

    • Don Rubens Mexican Food: Excellent sit-down dining options. They also run the popular taco truck in Mariposa, with massive breakfast burritos available to go.
